About Afingsbruckhof

Afingsbruckhof farm lies at 600m on the southern side of the municipality of Sarntal valley. Thanks to its protected position, a variety of fruit, vegetables and rare varieties thrive here, which are then made into tasty jams, cordials, pickled vegetables and pestos. In addition, honey and fresh quail eggs are produced on the farm.

Products

On the Afingsbruckhof farm you can buy cordials (blackberry, raspberry, elderflower, red and blackcurrants, jostaberries, red gooseberries, lemon balm, mint), each 0.5 l, jams (blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, raspberry, yellow raspberry, white, red and blackcurrant, jostabery, gooseberry, cranberry); chestnut spread, each 210g, pickled vegetables (chillies, gherkins, peppers, beetroot, onions), each 180g, 240g; apple purée, fig mostarda, vegetable antipasti, sauerkraut, bear's garlic pesto, tomato sauce andJerusalem artichoke spread, each 100g, 120g.

Fruit cordials – All the taste without the chemicals

Whether produced from fruit, flowers or herbs, home-made cordials are getting more and more popular. It's not surprising: these cordials, with their unmistakeable taste, put other soft drinks in the shade. The 'Red Rooster' seal of quality guarantees that only top quality original products go into their production. Beet sugar or brown sugar is added to make all types of fruit, flower or herb cordials following ancient recipes. While the fruit, flowers and herbs come straight from the farm, the sugar cannot be produced there. In the case of cordials, 25% of the product may be bought when counted as part of the fruit content. The cordials are bottled with care and sold under the 'Red Rooster' brand name as pure or mixed cordials.

Sauces and pickles – In the jars, get set, go

The 'sauces and pickles' product group unleashes an explosion of taste sensations: whether spicy or sweet, pickled in vinegar or preserved in oil – these 'Red Rooster' delicacies have one thing in common: they promise a lot of taste, completely free of additives. The raw ingredients for fine sauces, jams and pestos must be likewise as impeccable as those for pickled fruit and vegetables. While the former make for the right level of spiciness with their creamy consistency, the latter are fresh and crunchy. Only select fruit and vegetables, which are bottled according to age-old preserving methods, end up in the jar. For real gourmets.

Coming from Bozen, turn right before the tunnel at Halbweg into the old Sarntaler Straße (follow signs). Guided farm tours every saturday from March to October.
