About Fountain of the Holy Spirit
In the year 1348, a lay brotherhood founded the Heilig-Geist-Spital hospital in Brixen. It was converted into a nursing home and renamed "Hartmannsheim" in 1914 after the new hospital was built. Thanks to many donations, the Heilig-Geist-Spital hospital became agriculturally self-sufficient. The old fountain basin in the inner courtyard, carved from one single piece of stone, still bears testament to the former agriculture.
