Entering the Mair butchery you will be enchanted not only by the sight, but especially by the scent that will welcome you as you open the door: the taste of spices, along with that of smoked meats, the ready-made specialties and the many accompanying sauces are a real paradise of pleasures for meat lovers. 

At the Mair butchery you can buy strictly local meat from South Tyrolean farms of the highest quality. The cattle are carefully selected from the traditional farms of Val Sarentino, Meltina, Aldino and Corvara. Thanks to it being at 'km 0', the excellent meat guarantees freshness and unaltered flavours. In addition to the various cuts of meat, the shop's most popular specialities are cold cuts and sausages such as turkey, tasty herb ham, lean beef bresaola or tender colt, raw sausages such as "Kaminwurzen", or "Spaghettiwurst" (homemade and free of lactose, gluten and preservatives). Duing holiday season you can pre-book traditional delicacies such as the Easter cooked ham or a mixed stew for the Christmas fondue, while during the hunting season you can buy the game specialties.

If you are looking for a delicious gift idea, you can choose from almost 100 tasty sausage types. In the large refrigerator counters you will also find a wide range of meat cuts neatly stored in the bright display case. Did you know? Dry-aging is an ancient South Tyrolean meat refining technique, which consists in drying the meat and leaving it to mature in a Himalayan salt cave. The result is a meat with strong taste, a dream to cook in a pot or on the grill. At the Mair butchery you can also admire the drying of the meat yourself: the butcher's team will be happy to reveal all the secrets of this unique process.
