Arrival by car:

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies Valley, we recommend to take the exit West in Monguelfo.

Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo. To get to Tesido and the Val Casies, we recommend to take the exit East in Monguelfo.



Arrival by public transport:

- Regional train (no. 400) to Monguelfo/Welsberg.

- The bus (no. 441) brings you every hour from Monguelfo to Tesido and further into the Val Casies Valley and back again.

- The citybus (no. 438) circulates in Monguelfo and Tesido.

Lama Trekking! A very special experience

Get some feeling of the Andes by making a trekking excursion with the "Pustertal Lama". The excursions are made with five young lamas. According to an old method of the Inca, lamas can be load with backpacks and other equipment. During a short instruction you will learn about habits and features of lamas. After some training you will start your trip with these quiet, exotic animals. Because of their calm charakter, lamas can be led also by children and elderly people.
